Welcome to Our Kindergarten Classroom
At the heart of our kindergarten classroom is God's Word. Through Bible lessons, prayer, devotions, and songs, students come to know their Savior and grow in faith. Along the way, they build the everyday skills that ready them for school, learning to settle into a routine, focus, and solve problems, while play and daily activities help friendships blossom.
Each day includes Bible lessons and songs, calendar activities, math, language arts, science, physical education, art, music, and social studies, with recess, lunch, snack, and center time woven throughout.
Bible lessons are taught daily using the Christ Light curriculum. Each Bible lesson provides a truth and an application for the children’s lives. Students practice letter and sound awareness, phonics, writing, comprehension, and handwriting in language arts. Small reading groups make it possible to teach students at their own level of learning.
Mrs. Anna Kallies
KINDERGARTEN TEACHER
Mrs. Kallies graduated from Martin Luther College in 2025 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Over the past eight years, she has had the joy of working with children from infants through kindergarten, and she now serves as the kindergarten teacher here at Crown of Life. She knew she wanted to be a teacher back in grade school, and shaping young minds has always felt like a special calling. She's passionate about building a relationship with every child so they feel seen, supported, and loved, and she makes it her mission to weave God's Word into everything the class does together.
Originally from Madison, WI, she now lives in Germantown with her husband, Josh, who is studying to become a pastor at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature and creating art, especially watercolor painting. Raised in the WELS, she treasures her faith and looks forward to partnering with families to help their children grow this year.
